That Mixmag Thing 12
In less than 2 hours That Mixmag Thing @ Queen of Hoxtons kicks off to celebrate its first birthday! To celebrate they have one of their biggest line-ups yet. And yes it's still free!
In the basement they've got the legendary house duo Layo & Bushwacka! Also rocking it will be Edu Imbernon, who runs the superb Eklektisch label. Edu was the youngest DJ to get a Beatport No.1 at the age of 20 and his recent remix of The xx has become the most popular remix of the band ever!
The ground floor is hosting a disco extravaganza with Crazy P, Futureboogie, In Flagranti and the elusive Julio Bashmore all providing the sounds of the disco cosmos as we celebrate the launch of Futureboogie Recordings – currently number one in Mixmag's Big Tunes Chart.
To help them celebrate, fashion brand Original Penguin will be running a vintage photobooth, snapping clubbers in Original Penguin gear which will be uploaded to Mixmag Fashion. Plus, on entry, you'll be given your 30% VIP Covent Garden discount card that will also give you the chance to win £500 of Original Penguin clothing on their facebook page.
What's more the King of Beers, Budweiser, has given them a very generous birthday gift: hundreds of bottles of the crisp cold lager to share with you lot to help get the party underway. Arrive early to grab some Buds and enjoy the tunes.
